    No state money for plaza  Aug 27, 2009
    Slated to turn the half-block along the Irma Hotel porch into a pedestrian-only public area, plans called for a 650,000 plaza with a wrought iron, decorative archway, barriers and a half-block of new concrete. The city planned to apply for a 300,000 state community enhancement grant but learned Monday the Wyoming Business Council (WBC) only accepts one grant application per year from a municipality.     The Wyoming Dinosaur Center of Thermopolis is opening a Cody-branch store May 31 on Sheridan Avenue near the Irma Hotel. Dominating the store will be a replica of a T-rex discovered in Fort Peck, Mont. (Cody Enterprise, WY)

    Cowboy concert April 4 grows  Mar 17, 2009
    Events include jam sessions at the Irma Hotel on Friday and Saturday and at the VFW Hall on Friday, open mic sessions at Cassies 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, performances at several downtown businesses throughout the day Saturday and a cowboy gospel hour at the VFW at 9 a.m. Sunday.
