    Fundraiser to help St. Peter's with African missionary work  Jun 29, 2009
    Pala Mesa Resort will resemble Africa a bit Saturday evening, as St. Peter's Catholic Church of Fallbrook hosts a fundraiser to help send four people on a mission trip to Malindi, Kenya. The event will include live music, dancing, dinner and a silent auction featuring items brought back from Africa, such as jewelry, baskets and ebony carvings. (North County Times)

    FALLBROOK: Orange Grove power plant up for approval soon  Mar 3, 2009
    The March 16 hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Pala Mesa Resort, 2001 Old Highway 395. After that meeting, the energy commission is scheduled to vote on the project in Sacramento on April 8, according to an e-mail from state officials last week. (North County Times)

    The Pala Casino is offering spa discounts with hotel stays, and Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook is offering a special race package that includes a protein breakfast along with discount tickets to Legoland California and the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. Two upscale restaurants ---- Bernard'O in Rancho Bernardo and Tango in downtown Escondido ---- are planning special three-course meals for spectators and participants after the race.
