Officer Tomika Sommers was responding to a motor-vehicle accident just after 7:45 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle on Parkside Avenue near the intersection of Riverside Drive. The car hit the pole, suffering heavy front-end damage, police said. (NJ.com -- Times)
