Triangle teams upbeat despite Irving's injury Jul 24, 2009
During the annual Triangle Pigskin Preview banquet at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham, O'Brien gave an update on Irving's playing status for the first time since the player suffered a broken leg and collapsed lung in a June 28 car crash. Irving is out indefinitely, and O'Brien said he won't know more about Irving's status until after the player's next appointment with doctors in mid-August. (News & Observer -- Sports)
