I go to see them all the time," says Tom Sweeney, who is perhaps Riordan's most famous graduate, having worn the Beefeater uniform as doorman at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel for 33 years. When Sweeney was a student in the mid-1970s, Riordan's only touring outfit was the Riordan Wrecking Crew, which toured the city every weekend, trashing whatever party they crashed.
